Role Description We are seeking a full-time, on-site Chief Information Officer (CIO) in San Francisco, CA. The CIO will oversee information technology operations, management, strategy, and business processes to drive organizational success. We are looking for a technical visionary, an execution-driven leader, and a community-first builder who will define and scale our AI-driven, standardized investment evaluation platform. This is a hands-on leadership role, though not focused on daily coding. Your responsibilities will include: Leading the execution, strategy, and launch of our first MVP—working closely with the development team to bring our platform to fruition. Gaining a deep understanding of AI, data, and architecture—guiding the team on what to build and ensuring technical decisions align with the product vision. Collaborating with the CEO on new POCs (Proofs of Concept), product pivots, and platform expansion—experimenting with innovative methods to refine our evaluation framework. Taking ownership of the technology roadmap, ensuring scalability, security, and continuous improvement of our standardized startup evaluations. Qualifications Architect & Guide Development: Oversee the development and execution of TheSprintFit’s AI-driven evaluation system and data modeling. Standardized Investment Intelligence: Build and refine our investment evaluation framework to reduce bias and improve decision-making. Data & API Mastery: Manage data pipelines and AI / ML-driven insights to power our platform. Prompt Engineering & Data Labeling Oversight: Ensure high-quality AI outputs by developing effective prompts and supervising data annotation processes. Community-Driven Growth: Engage with investors, founders, and operators to create a movement around fair and transparent startup funding. Strong understanding of business process management. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Experience in a similar leadership role. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Who Are You? AI / ML Expert: You have built or scaled AI-powered decision-making platforms, scoring systems, or fintech tools. Fintech or Investment Background: You possess experience in fintech, banking, or private equity, providing insight into the investment landscape. Tech Strategist, Not Just a Coder: You understand the architecture, data, and infrastructure required for scaling and guide a team rather than code daily. Prompt Engineering & Data Labeling Advocate: You are knowledgeable in crafting effective prompts and managing data annotation to enhance AI performance. Angel Investment & Early-Stage Enthusiast: You understand the game, the pain points, and how to address them with technology.
