How You Can Contribute:
The Trauma Quality Improvement Coordinator will work collaboratively with trauma program leadership to enhance the department's Performance Improvement and Patient Safety (PIPS) Program. This role focuses on reviewing care standards and ensuring compliance with practice management guidelines.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Developing, implementing, and evaluating the Trauma Performance Improvement and Patient Safety Plan.
- Maintaining the Trauma PI database for necessary regulatory documentation.
- Conducting concurrent reviews of cases to identify quality and timelines of care to meet state standards.
- Participating in educational programs for nurses and residents caring for trauma patients.
- Serving as a liaison to support clinical teams involved in trauma care.
- Coordinating multidisciplinary Trauma Systems & Operations Committee and Peer Review meetings.
Qualifications Required:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment.
- Must be a Registered Nurse.
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses or Trauma Nursing Core Course within 30 days of employment.
- Strongly prefer candidates with trauma experience.
