UI Engineer - Sanzaru at Meta in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description Summary: Oculus Studios and Sanzaru Games has an immediate UI Engineer position working on virtual reality games. Sanzaru continues to push the boundaries of interactive entertainment and technology on all fronts. Required Skills: UI Engineer - Sanzaru Responsibilities: 1. Collaborating directly with UI Artists and Gameplay Designers to achieve UI that promotes a low friction high quality UI experiences. 2. Collaborating with UI Artists and Designers to develop direction of UI and communicate technology hurdles to targets. 3. Collaborating with UI Artists and Designers to rapidly iterate on UI prototypes 4. Development of technology and tools that empower UI Artists and Designers to achieve UI targets. 5. Debugging and Evaluation of UMG or Widget functionality in Unreal Engine 6. Debugging and Evaluation of Blueprint Graph implementations in Unreal Engine. 7. Collaborating with cross functional partners to communicate UI performance targets. Minimum Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: 8. At least 5 years of game industry experience 9. Demonstrated experience shipping a Console, PC or VR game 10. Demonstrated experience developing in C++ 11. Experience developing UI feature sets in Unreal Engine 12. Proven capacity to extend existing project codebase to support new feature sets. 13. Experience collaborating with cross functional team members to ship high quality user interfaces. 14. BS Computer Science or equivalent experience Preferred Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications: 15. Shipping at least one VR title with an emphasis UI feature set Delivery in Unreal. 16. Proven experience tackling performance challenges with UMG, or UI in Unreal 17. Experience collaborating with UI Artists and Designers to gain best quality Blueprint logic in Unreal. 18. Experience delivering UI in AAA games.
