Overview
We are seeking to add a Systems Administrator to our team! The Systems Administrator will be responsible for overseeing the computer operations of the company including but not limited to installing servers and configuring various systems, setting up end-users, ensuring optimal performance of all software and hardware, and making sure every technical aspect is secure and running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to
:
Configure, monitor and maintain the company’s servers, systems, databases and technical tools, ensuring system security, stability and data integrity.
Streamline existing systems and create the strategy necessary to support current and future business operations.
Research and recommend innovative approaches that leverage the company’s resources and provide economies of scale.
Maintain process and support documentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions.
Lead technology project teams and support technology related initiatives.
Manage vendors, outsourced services and maintaining proper licensing and warranties for servers and software.
Manage the maintenance, back-ups and offsite replication of servers, databases and electronic files.
Inventory management, coordinate software upgrades and hardware maintenance on desktops/laptops and other equipment.
Create and administer security policies, scans and vulnerability remediation including malware management and removal, routine testing and security audits.
Network monitoring and maintenance with failover.
Create emergency response playbooks and conduct incident response exercises.
SharePoint management and policies management.
Active directory management, DNS/DHCP, general domain management and maintenance.
Manage collaborative communication tools such as WebEx, Zoom and TEAMS.
Set-up and maintain VMWare servers.
Provide end user support on all systems and applications both directly and supervising staff in the delivery of user support.
The successful candidate will have:
Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems/Information Technology, or related field. Related certifications desirable.
3-5 years of experience.
Strong understanding of networking protocols such as
TCP/IP
,
DHCP
, DNS,
VPN
, and
Firewall
configurations.
Expertise in managing
Windows Servers 2012 – 2022
, including installations, updates, and patching.
Experience managing and troubleshooting
Watchguard Firewalls .
Proficient in configuring and managing
Cisco/HP/Aruba
switches, mush be comfortable with
PuTTY
Knowledge of
Hyper-V
and
VMware
, with experience migrating servers between both environments.
Hands-on experience with
Dell IDPA DP4400 backup and restore solution .
Proficient in using
Microsoft Entra
for identity and access management.
Strong experience with
PowerShell
and
Batch scripting
for system automation.
Knowledge of
Enterprise Storage Area Network (SAN) technologies .
Expertise in
Office 365
and
Microsoft Exchange .
Experience managing
WebEx
,
TEAMS
and other collaborative communication tools.
