Under the direction of the Director, Human Resources Operations, the Recruiter will be focused primarily on full-cycle recruitment development positions across the University of Arizona and the University of Arizona Foundation with a focus on frontline fundraising. Partnering with hiring managers, the Recruiter will create recruitment plans and timelines that meet the needs of candidates and the hiring teams. This position will be part of a team that will source, screen, interview, and hire fundraisers using our Applicant Tracking System (ADP), LinkedIn Recruiter, and other sources to attract the best fundraising talent to UA. The Recruiter will also work with the other HR team members to prepare hires for their start date and onboarding.
In addition to running full-cycle recruitment for open positions, the Recruiter will also be responsible for constantly building a diverse pipeline of fundraising talent by engaging in passive outreach and partnering with the HRO and MarCom teams to create custom communications for potential future candidates using a Customer Relationship Management platform.
The Recruiter must be fully committed to equity and inclusion in the hiring process. The Recruiter should have excellent project management skills, and a solid understanding of human resources as a function, as the HRO team at the UA Foundation is incredibly collaborative in nature, and this team member will be responsible for assisting with other projects across the HRO team as well.

This position is not supervisory in nature.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
- In collaboration with hiring managers develop recruitment strategies to achieve required staffing levels for Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement team (PAE), to include a hybrid of university staff, Foundation staff, and contract staff.
- Use traditional and nontraditional resources, such as cold calling/outreach, career fairs, online job fairs, and community network events, to identify and attract quality candidates as well as social media and networking.
- Collaborate in the development of advertising programs (internal and external) to ensure high visibility with potential candidates.
- Develop and maintain an excellent relationship with internal and external clients to ensure the achievement of staffing goals.
- Advises hiring managers on recruitment practices, guideline, and or policies.
- Build applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and internet sites; provide organization information, opportunities, and benefits; make presentations; and maintain rapport.
- Proactively source, network, creatively identify, and interview potential candidates.
- Build relationships with campus and non-campus partners to build candidate sourcing opportunities.
- Maintain requisitions and job postings in applicant tracking system for UAF and UA.
- Track and provide metrics on candidate sourcing efforts to managers.
- Establish recruiting requirements by studying University, Foundation, and PAE strategic plans and objectives; and meet with managers to discuss needs.
- Manage screening process - for example, coordination of interviews with hiring manager/search committee and offer letters.
- Follow up with candidates and hiring managers to obtain feedback regarding recruiting process.
- Manages current candidate activity in PAE HRIS (ADP) and UATalent systems.
- Manage application/resume files and retention according to policy.
- Arrange travel and lodging for applicants, if necessary.
- Conduct reference checks.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Proficiency or ability to learn additional software required to perform the essential duties of the position
- A bachelor's degree is required AND
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in talent acquisition or human resources required.
- Methods and techniques for recruitment and selection, interviewing, testing, pre-employment testing, checking employment references, transcripts/credentials and developing and implementing recruitment strategies.
- Combinations of related education and experience will be considered.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Recruiting experience with non-profit organizations or in the higher education space is a plus.
- Professional certifications such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, and/or PHR preferred.

- This position may require some evening and weekend work to assist interview logistics such as picking up candidates and/or transferring to hotels, departments, colleges, or units.
- This position will require walking to/from departments/colleges/units around the UA campus.
