Position Summary:
Develop two online graduate level courses.
Job Duties:
The applicant is responsible for developing two onlinegraduate level early childhood assessment courses. This includes development ofcourse content, assignments, and related materials. The applicant isresponsible for creating all content in an online platform and ensuring itmeets requirements of Colorado House Bill 21-1110. The courses will bedeveloped thoroughly so an instructor can teach the online courses for Fall2025 with the assurance that all required standards are included.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet the following requirements: • Ph.D. in special education, • Minimum of 10 years of experience in early childhood assessment as a school psychologist, • Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching early childhood assessment courses to undergraduate or graduate students, • Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching undergraduate or graduate courses in a virtual environment, • Participated in early childhood unified standards alignment work at the State level, • Working knowledge of how state early childhood standards align with professional standards in the field, • Strong understanding of child development as evidenced by previous experience teaching child development courses or presentations on child development, • Strong understanding of Part C and Part B of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, • Experience working with children with and without disabilities ages birth through 8 years, • Knowledge of current early childhood assessment practices, • Familiarity with various early childhood environments and the relation to assessment, and • Holds a current license as a school psychologist required for practice in the public schools.
