It's an exciting time to work for Idaho Power. What does a Utility Laborer do for us? They perform construction, maintenance, or other manual work on de-energized distribution, underground projects, or at Idaho Power facilities. A COMPETITIVE CANDIDATE WILL HAVE Knowledge of: + Construction methods, materials, standards, and equipment + The purpose of commonly encountered materials, parts, and equipment used in line construction or other utility projects Preferred: + How to safely load/unload, drive, and operate dump trucks, hauling equipment such as mini-excavator, backhoes, and skid steers Skills in: + Basic use of personal computers + Interpersonal communications Ability to: + Perform basic arithmetic calculations + Maintain effective working relationships with other members of a work team + Maintain neat, accurate, and legible records + Respond to emergencies in excess of normal working hours + Work overtime at the discretion of the supervisor MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: + High school diploma or GED Experience: + 1 year of general work experience that includes physical labor and utility experience OR + An equivalent combination of appropriate training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities Preferred: + 3 years of general work experience that includes physical labor and utility experience OR + An equivalent combination of appropriate training and experience that provid To view full details and how to apply, please login or create a Job Seeker account
