A growing real estate investment firm is seeking a dynamic and experienced VP of Asset Management to oversee the strategic and operational performance of a national portfolio of multifamily assets (about 6,000 units and growing. This executive-level role will lead asset management initiatives while driving operational excellence across the platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of asset-level business plans to optimize performance and returns
- Oversee third-party property management teams, capital projects, leasing strategies, and operational budgets
- Drive performance reporting, portfolio analysis, and investor communications
- Partner with acquisitions, development, and finance teams on underwriting, dispositions, and refinancing strategies
- Develop and implement company-wide operational processes and infrastructure to support growth
- Provide executive leadership across property operations, asset management, and corporate functions
- This role has the opportunity to grow into a COO depending on the candidate's background and skillset
Qualifications:
- 20+ years of experience in multifamily real estate, with a strong background in asset management and operations
- Proven track record of value creation and leadership in institutional or entrepreneurial environments
- Excellent financial acumen and experience managing P&L across large portfolios
- Strong team leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or relevant graduate degree preferred
