Position Overview The primary focus of this position is to identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major gift donors and prospects. This individual serves as a key member of the Moves Management team and is accountable for a share of the Foundation's fundraising goals.
The VP of Major Gifts is responsible for communication, interaction, and developing deep relationships with Foundation and System management, staff, Board members, volunteers, financial advisors, and community leaders to cultivate and secure future philanthropic gifts.
Key Responsibilities
Manage donor and prospective donor activity independently and in collaboration with senior staff, including soliciting major gifts for various projects, programs, and endowments, and stewarding donors.
Collaborate with other development officers to ensure continuity in donor relationships throughout the giving cycle. Develop and recommend engagement strategies tailored to prospective donors, working closely with donor relations staff to implement these strategies.
Lead significant fundraising projects aligned with HonorHealth’s strategic priorities. Track gifts and pledges against set goals.
Handle administrative responsibilities such as working with volunteers, maintaining professional memberships, collaborating on strategic goals, and completing special assignments for senior leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of experience in identifying, acquiring, soliciting, and stewarding annual and major gifts.
