As a Vault Bioventures Consultant, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse client base that includes some of the world's largest pharmaceutical companies, early-stage through pre-IPO biotechs, and leading healthcare-focused venture capital firms. Clients engage Vault Bioventures on a range of business issues and challenges, including new market entry strategy, portfolio and brand strategy, clinical development and regulatory strategy, brand positioning, life cycle strategy, buy-side / acquisition due diligence, and business development out-licensing strategy. You will work very closely with experienced pharmaceutical industry executives to build recommendations for our clients.
The Vice President plays a critical leadership role within Vault's consulting team, driving strategic vision and overall growth. This position entails a high degree of responsibility for cultivating client relationships, securing new business, and leading a consulting group. The VP will oversee a complex portfolio of engagements for a key client.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Vault Enterprise Strategy & Operational Excellence:
Partner with senior leadership to develop Vault long-term enterprise strategy.
Identify and champion the development of new internal capabilities leveraging emerging technologies and methodologies.
Ensure the adoption of best practices and methodologies across engagement teams to drive successful outcomes.
Client Relationship Management:
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and delivering tailored consulting solutions.
Act as a primary point of contact for clients, ensuring satisfaction and addressing any concerns promptly.
Client Strategy & Business Development:
Understand client needs and objectives to tailor strategies that deliver measurable value.
Translate client needs into short and medium-term business opportunities that inform engagement planning.
Mentor and develop junior leaders and consultants, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture that emphasizes superior client experience.
Professional Development:
Engage in continuous learning and professional development opportunities, including training sessions, mentorship, and feedback mechanisms.
Conduct performance evaluations and co-create actionable development plans ensuring continuous professional growth.
Strategic Analysis & Problem Solving:
Collaborate with clients and engagement teams to co-create tailored solutions that address complex challenges.
Support engagement teams with qualitative and quantitative analyses to derive insights and support recommendations.
Explore key business questions yielding actionable insights for our clients.
Work with clients to implement recommendations.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Minimum of 10 years of life science consulting experience or equivalent pharma-biotech industry experience.
Demonstrated success working across a range of consulting projects.
Personal Integrity combined with a record of academic and professional accomplishment.
MBA or Life Sciences advanced degree highly desired.
Excellent communication skills, including listening, oral, and written.
Excellent project management skills with an ability to balance work across multiple projects.
Demonstrated commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
Technologically proficient with communication and collaboration software platforms.
Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% (global and domestic).
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without sponsorship.
