Under the direction of the Director, this position is responsible for planning, directing, organizing, executing, and overseeing the bank’s Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) program and related policies. This role will design, build, and lead the Vendor Risk Management function, partnering with key leaders across the organization to drive process, policy, and technology changes. The TPRM department ensures compliance with regulations, protects data entrusted to vendors, and maintains sound risk management practices across financial, business continuity, compliance, and information security domains. Develop and implement the company’s vendor risk management framework, operating model, and governance. Establish a roadmap for maturity initiatives supporting a robust third-party landscape. Design vendor risk technology enhancement requirements. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to evaluate and address issues related to third-party relationships. Ensure accuracy and completeness within the TPRM system of record. Create risk dashboards and reports for stakeholders and committees. Analyze data to identify trends in vendor performance and compliance. Maintain a strong understanding of business products, services, and third-party risk management principles. Provide consulting, guidance, and education throughout the third-party lifecycle. Understand regulatory requirements and represent vendor risk management during audits and assessments. Support industry projects with tailored approaches. Stay informed on market trends and competitor activities. Foster positive relationships across the bank to enable agility, cost-effectiveness, and excellent customer experiences. Promote a strategic vision of security and privacy aligned with third-party compliance. Manage all employees in the section, including staffing, scheduling, compensation, performance management, training, and development. Attract, retain, and motivate team members. Mentor and train staff on TPRM processes, governance, and frameworks. Work collaboratively to support team goals. Drive innovation and challenge the status quo. Perform other duties as assigned. Require a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience. Minimum 6 years of experience in financial risk, auditing, or information security, especially in financial services. Knowledge of risk disciplines and expertise in at least one area. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with risk tools like VRM or GRC platforms. Demonstrated leadership in training and managing risk for third parties. Experience with assessments, audits, and developing risk functions. Knowledge of compliance standards like SOC, PCI, NIST, or ISO 27001. Certifications such as CISA, CISM, CRISC, CISSP are highly desirable.
