Veracity Engineering has an exciting opportunity for a Contracts Administrator in our Headquarters located in the heart of Washington, DC. The position is responsible for advising executive level oversight of Veracity procurement, subcontracts, subawards, cost share and programmatic property management. This position serves a functional expertise resource to Veracity staff in interpreting client terms and conditions as well as associated rules and regulations, as they apply to competing, negotiating, and administering subcontracts and grants under prime contracts and cooperative agreements. Advises senior management regarding Organizational Conflicts of Interest, including their associated risks and mitigations.
The position offers a hybrid schedule with 4-days onsite.
What you will get to do:
Prepare, review, and negotiate standard contract agreements and documents (including teaming, non-disclosure, subcontract, and vendor agreements), as well as identifying significant/unique subcontract requirements, special provisions, and terms and conditions for subcontractors and vendors.
Draft subcontract documentation such as awards, modifications, amendments, and other contractual correspondence.
Responsible for reviewing and tracking subcontractor/vendor invoices for accuracy and facilitating the approval process.
Coordinate with various teams to communicate contractual obligations and new or changed requirements, including interpretation and communication of applicable contract requirements and regulations.
Possess a comprehensive knowledge of the terms and conditions appropriate for different contracts (IDIQ, T&M, FFP, CPFF, etc.) and their proper use.
Develop and maintain detailed and organized contract/subcontract files.
As part of our Quality Management System (QMS), responsible for identification, development, documentation, and implementation of new contract/subcontract policies and processes.
Responsible for tracking/maintaining subcontractor funding and obligated amounts, preparing and submitting weekly and monthly reports, as well as providing input to internal and/or external briefings on subcontractor financials.
Identify and manage risks, issues, and opportunities within the scope of Contracts Department responsibilities.
Track subcontractor performance in the areas of their technical scope, schedule, and cost.
Oversee contract closeout.
Participate in proposal-related activities as needed.
Must Haves:
Six years or more of experience in contracts administration and management.
Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.
Demonstrated experience in contract administration and negotiation.
Understanding of basic Business Law concepts and their application.
Excellent analytical capabilities with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to exercise independent judgment, make informed decisions, and meet deadlines.
Proactive, responsive, and accountable, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proven leadership skills and ability to communicate effectively and professionally with clients, colleagues, and staff.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
Experience managing teams.
Not required but strongly preferred:
FAA contracts experience, including knowledge of AMS is a plus.
Experience with Quality Management Systems.
Certified Professional Contracts Manager, National Contract Management Associations (NCMA).
