Must have a valid Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) license High school diploma or equivalent Must pass a criminal background check Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills Must have the patience, empathy, and compassion needed to care for elderly patients Ability to work cooperatively with other healthcare professionals. Ability to utilize computer systems and the software necessary to perform functions of the role. Major Duties and Responsibilities
Assist elderly patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting Monitor patient's vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and heart rate Provide emotional support to patients and their families Report changes in patients' conditions to the nursing staff Create and implement care plans to meet patients' individual needs Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines Observe infection control procedures to promote a safe environment for patients and staff Additional Requirements:
Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position; lift, push, pull, carry heavy objects. Stand for long periods of time, walk, bend and stretch.
