Position Overview:
The Structured Finance Associate will play a key role in driving the financial success of solar and battery storage projects by developing sophisticated financial models, leading deal execution, and managing due diligence processes to secure funding. This position offers the opportunity to be a founding member of the structured finance team, reporting to the CFO and collaborating across internal and external teams to advance project opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate solar and battery storage project investment opportunities, assessing key financial drivers and project economics.
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to support project financing and M&A activities.
- Lead deal execution, including cross-functional coordination, risk assessment, and transaction management.
- Prepare presentations and materials for executive management and external financing partners.
- Manage due diligence processes, ensuring timely completion of transaction milestones.
- Collaborate with internal teams across tax, accounting, legal, and project development to ensure seamless project financing.
- Support corporate financing activities and evaluate potential M&A opportunities.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree required; MBA or relevant graduate degree preferred.
- 2-6 years of finance experience, with exposure to renewable energy, project finance, or infrastructure preferred.
- Strong understanding of tax equity structures in the solar sector.
- Advanced financial modeling, credit analysis, and quantitative skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving abilities.
- High level of integrity, initiative, and ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
- Interest in advancing to a leadership role in solar and storage project finance.
