Position: Bilingual Building Secretary (Spanish/English) Posting # 3631

Beginning: Spring 2025
Hours: 40 hours per week
Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
School-Year/Full-Time
Experience:
- Experience and proficiency in the use of Google Suite (Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.)
- Must be highly organized and have excellent communication and clerical skills.
- Must be bilingual & biliterate: Spanish/English
- Experience in providing friendly and accurate verbal and written communication in English and Spanish.
- Experience working with elementary students is preferred.
- Perform a variety of secretarial and clerical duties to assist the Principal
- Operate the absence management (substitute) system
- Provide friendly and accurate public relations (within the school community and beyond)
- Perform other duties as assigned by Principal
- Starts 3 weeks before the start of the school year and ends 2 weeks after the school year ends.
- For the initial year, extended hours will be available summer 2025
- Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
- Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires the substantial use of the upper extremities and back muscles.
- Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.
- Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken work; those activities where detailed or import spoken instructions must be conveyed to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
- Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction, and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and making fine discriminations in sound.
- Repetitive motions: Making substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
- The worker is subject to environmental conditions.
- The worker should provide consistent and reliable attendance.
