CEO Position Purpose
Provide excellent patient care through diagnosis and treatment of eye conditions, including prescribing corrective lenses and therapeutic drugs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Prescribe medications, low vision rehabilitation, vision therapy, spectacle and contact lenses. Counsel patients on surgical and non-surgical options tailored to their needs. Identify eyewear needs and recommend suitable products. Perform eye exams and diagnose conditions like nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and conjunctivitis. Prescribe and fit eyeglasses and contact lenses; provide low vision aids and therapy. Participate in pre- and post-operative care. Communicate effectively with patients and other healthcare providers. Refer patients to specialists when necessary. Coordinate with optical staff to ensure proper communication of prescriptions. Meet sales targets related to spectacles and contact lenses. Qualifications
Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited school. Successful completion of the National Board examination and a state clinical exam. Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and business acumen. Additional Details
