As a SONIC Drive-In restaurant General Manager, you are indeed a general—leading your team in a continuous effort to provide America with an exceptional food service experience. You will be involved in training and supporting drive-in restaurant employees, ensuring that food is delivered in a clean, safe, and efficient manner, and that our customers have an excellent experience.
The General Manager position is typically a full-time opportunity and offers excellent benefits.
Prior experience as a restaurant general manager, catering manager, operations manager, supervisor, shift lead, or restaurant assistant general manager is very helpful for success in this role.
Requirements / Responsibilities
Manage, train, monitor, and coach crew/team members, carhops, and skating carhops. Direct and assign drive-in restaurant employees as needed to meet operational standards for food service. Ensure compliance with the employee handbook, policies, and practices. Perform restaurant opening and/or closing duties. Prepare employee work schedules and adjust staffing levels as necessary. Monitor and maintain inventory levels; order food, paper, and other supplies within budget. Maintain employment and payroll records. Reinforce a customer service mentality and focus on serving customers at all times. Resolve guest requests promptly and respectfully; report and assist in resolving guest complaints. Interview and hire staff to ensure proper staffing levels. Prepare operational reports and develop action plans to address financial or sales issues. Develop and implement marketing plans.
