Digital Enterprise Solutions, Inc. (DESI) is seeking an
IT Acquisition Compliance Specialist
to join our growing and diverse team of qualified individuals. This is a Full-Time (Regular) Exempt (Salary) position in Patuxent River, MD 20670. Telework will be permitted. However, occasional on-site requirements will be at Patuxent River, MD 20670. Therefore, candidates must be within a reasonable driving distance of Patuxent River, MD 20670.

ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reviews Information Technology Procurement Requests (ITPRs) to ensure Information Technology (IT) procurements comply with acquisition laws, policies, and regulations. Acts as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for IT procurement compliance. Uses the Naval Information Technology Approval System (NAVITAS) to review ITPRs. Provides requestors with detailed compliance issue(s), including step-by-step instructions on correcting and resubmitting the ITPR. Prepares IT compliance approval write-ups identifying the IT compliance status for review by the Command Information Officer's team. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: To be considered for this position, you must meet the education and experience listed below:
BA/BS/AA/AS degree and less than three (3) years of experience in roles/responsibilities similar to the above
-OR-
HS/GED and two (2) years of experience in roles/responsibilities similar to the above. Degrees in Management, Business, or Information Technology preferred. Degrees must be from a US Department of Education-accredited institution to be considered. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, multi-task, and manage time effectively with strong attention to detail. US Citizenship is required due to US government contract requirements. Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance (interim required to start). PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates with experience or knowledge in these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
Experience in acquisition, procurement, or purchasing within DoD. Understanding of DoD IT acquisition and/or procurement processes and compliance requirements. Experience with NAVITAS. Active SECRET clearance. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: The compensation range is based on industry compensation data and/or position budget and reflects our commitment to transparency and fairness:
The annual compensation range is $65,000 to $85,000, commensurate with education, certifications, and experience. Other compensation may include discretionary bonuses, referral rewards, and spot awards.
