Minimum Qualifications Non-Competitive Candidates: One year of permanent service as a Data Analyst 1 OR bachelor's degree and three years of experience* in data visualization, and statistical models and data mining tools.
*Substitution: A master's degree in data or computer science, informatics, economics, statistics, mathematics, or a related field, may substitute for one year of the specialized experience. A Ph.D. in the above fields may substitute for two years of the specialized experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Determining, with minimal oversight, most effective data processing and collection tools to maximize data collection efficiencies and modernize data visualization output; Expertise developing data analysis processes, analyzing and interpreting data, and summarizing and communicating healthcare data; Experience analyzing and explaining the impact of financial awards (e.g., grants), and forecasting the anticipated impact of future financial awards, to assess impact on healthcare facility financial health, care cost, care quality, and healthcare service line availability and utilization; Experience analyzing and summarizing healthcare transactional data, including healthcare entity finances and budgets, and developing data assessments relating to projected impacts on health equity; Experience in a supervisory capacity, including working with both data analysts and non-data analysts to develop policy recommendations and continued internal process improvements
