Job Description
PsychPros is a nationally recognized staffing and recruiting firm dedicated to the behavioral healthcare field. We are currently hiring a Housing Navigator to work full-time with clients experiencing homelessness in Altadena, CA, 91001.
This is a TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENT with the potential for converting to a permanent position for a strong candidate. Requirements
A minimum of one year of experience providing case management support to people experiencing homelessness, or at risk of homelessness, including working with individuals with chronic health issues, mental health needs, or histories of substance use. A bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Sociology is preferred. Possess a valid California driver's license and have access to a properly registered vehicle. Benefits
The pay is $23.50/hour The schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM Essential Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of 20-25 households Collaborate with Care Coordinators at interim housing sites and through housing programs to connect families experiencing homelessness to permanent housing Assist participants in identifying and applying for units, subsidy programs, housing vouchers, and supportive housing resources based on their needs Support the lease-up process by verifying property ownership, inspecting units, submitting move-in packets, and facilitating warm hand-offs with the care team Connect participants to resources supporting housing stabilization and wellness, including medical, mental health, and substance use services, employment, and child care Engage households regularly to provide support related to their goals, with weekly visits for unhoused participants and at least monthly visits for housed participants Transport participants to essential appointments and conduct community visits within Los Angeles County, including colocation at interim housing sites when assigned Login to save this search and get notified of similar positions.
