Responsible for the overall operation of the clinical laboratory, working under the guidance of Medical Directors and Regional Clinical Laboratory Directors. Develops and oversees policies, procedures, and quality assurance programs, selects instrumentation and test methodologies, and supervises laboratory personnel using professional judgment. Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, biological sciences, chemical sciences, or allied health technologies (Required) Master's Degree (Preferred) Five years' clinical laboratory experience (Preferred) One year's leadership experience (Preferred) Licenses/Certifications
Valid Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license in California (Required) Current certification from ASCP or NCA (Preferred) Essential Functions
Manage daily laboratory operations, ensuring outcomes and satisfaction, supervising staff, and maintaining reports and compliance. Develop and implement quality control programs, troubleshoot, and ensure regulatory compliance. Oversee laboratory services across various specialties, interpret standards, and coordinate inspections. Provide guidance on hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluations; manage financial aspects including budgets and billing. Organizational Requirements
