The City of Brodhead is seeking a highly motivated and community-oriented individual to join our team as a Customer Service Specialist. This vital role serves as the primary point of contact for residents and visitors, providing essential information and assistance related to city services and operations. Position Duties and Responsibilities
The following duties are for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
General
·
Processes all requests for payment by the city.
Assists with maintenance of necessary records for the city, including agendas, resolutions, ordinances, minutes, finances and economic development, inventories, equipment.

Updates the city website, social media accounts and any other records as required.
·
Assists the city clerk with election responsibilities. Processes applications for all permits and licenses issued by the city in accordance with applicable state statute or city ordinance.
Processes requests for reservations of park shelters and other park facilities.
Work closely with city staff, elected officials, and vendors to provide excellent communications and quality performance for the benefit of all residents and employees.
Education, Experience and Qualifications
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree .
Experience
Working knowledge of computers: Office management software/tools, ( Google, Microsoft, Civic/Caselle). Electronic data processing, working knowledge of modern office practices and procedures, working knowledge of governmental principles and practices.
Previous experience in similar industry.
Qualifications

Basic knowledge of state law and local ordinance requirements related to the operation of City government.

Basic knowledge of government budget requirements and generally accepted accounting practices.
·
Ability to operate the City’s data processing system.
·
Ability to meet the bonding requirements of the city, if any.
·
Ability to obtain a notary commission from the State of Wisconsin.
·
Ability to establish and maintain effective working and public relationships with a wide variety of individuals.
·
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Emails are courteous and professional in manner.
·
Strong organizational skills: The ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
·
Must be able to remain calm/professional in the case of difficult conversations or confrontations.
·
Strong attention to detail:
To ensure accuracy in all tasks.

Must be able to meet deadlines without fail and stay on schedule.

and problem solving skills: Able to be proactive in identifying and resolving issues quickly and appropriately.

To provide a positive experience for , visitors and vendors.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
•
Ability to lift and move office supplies (up to 50 pound)
•
Sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of times.
