*Android Developer*
*Contract to Hire *
*Hybrid in Dallas (Irving, TX 75063)*
Our retail client is seeking an experienced Android Developer to support the development of their Android mobile platform, which enables millions of customers to engage with brands through eCommerce, loyalty, and new product launch experiences. You will play a key role in building new features, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and maintaining the overall health and performance of the Android codebase. This is a hands-on software development role focused on delivering high-quality mobile experiences using modern Android tools and practices.
*Responsibilities*
· Design and build advanced Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
· Implement robust dependency injection patterns using Hilt.
· Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to build seamless mobile experiences.
· Mentor and support other Android developers on best practices, code quality, and career growth.
· Take ownership of resolving urgent or high-priority technical issues with quick turnarounds when necessary.
· Write clean, maintainable, and testable code, perform code reviews, and maintain high standards.
· Contribute to the evolution of architecture and tech stack decisions.
*Qualifications*
· Strong expertise in Kotlin and modern Android development tools and libraries.
· Solid understanding of architectural patterns like MVVM, clean architecture, modularization.
· Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose and Hilt.
· Integrate and manage GraphQL API’s effectively within Android application.
· Should be able to mentor or lead Android developers.
· Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and unit/UI testing.
· Strong debugging and problem-solving skills with proactive mindset.
*Nice to Have*
· Experience with analytics tools (e.g., Adobe, RudderStack, Google).
· Familiarity with localization tools (e.g., Applanga).
· Experience in agile teams or fast- paced product environments.
· Experience in startup or fast-paced product teams.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: From $60.00 per hour
