Fluent Financial is seeking an experienced Assistant Portfolio Manager / Trader with Series 7 licensing.
Progress toward CFA designation preferred.
Salary Range: 70K-85K
This position is responsible for:
Portfolio Management & Investment Strategy
- Design, implement, and maintain customized investment portfolios aligned with client objectives.
- Advise financial advisors on optimal investment strategies tailored to client needs.
- Provide the CEO with investment recommendations and market insights for client meetings.
- Monitor and execute portfolio rebalancing per Firm policy and risk parameters.
- Track and measure portfolio performance against relevant benchmarks.
- Analyze and document market performance rationale to support investment decisions.
Trading & Risk Management
- Execute trades in accordance with Firm policy, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Monitor accounts for excess cash and allocate efficiently.
- Assess and mitigate risks within Firm portfolios, ensuring adherence to investment guidelines.
- Maintain an exception list for specific client restrictions and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Research & Market Analysis
- Conduct research on various investment vehicles and asset classes.
- Stay informed on financial market trends, economic data, and regulatory changes.
- Utilize and assess available investment tools to enhance portfolio performance.
- Provide timely market commentary and insights for internal and client use.
Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain thorough records and notes to support compliance and due diligence efforts.
- Ensure adherence to industry regulations and internal policies.
- Support Senior Portfolio Manager with ad-hoc requests, including performance analysis and reporting.
Professional Development & Industry Engagement
- Attend industry conferences and networking events to stay updated on best practices.
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve investment processes and enhance client outcomes.
Requirements:
- Minimum two years of experience in a similar role
- Series 7 and 66/65
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Economics
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, proficient in the Microsoft Office suite
- Proficiency with CRM software, specifically Redtail
- Proficiency with Schwab and Orion software preferred
- Strong understanding of securities analysis, economics, and trading
- Ability to manage multiple client cases at once
- Must be a self-starter
- Must have excellent organizational, communication, and client relationship skills
- Ability to work independently but also able to function as a contributing team member
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow through on projects effectively
- Ability to reliably commute to our office in Dallas, TX (75254)
The compensation package is competitive and is based on a reward for performance structure. There are additional accelerators and incentives for high achievement. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. 401(k) Retirement Plan with company match is available (7.5% matching available). Profit sharing is available based on the Firm’s success. Health insurance is available to employees. Employees have paid time off and paid holidays.
