Job Description:
- Provide mobile ultrasound service with majority of work performed in various nursing homes, home care facilities, prisons, and processing sites. - Travel in an automobile to different locations to perform sonographic exams ordered by physicians. - Obtain clinically diagnostic, technically competent images and digitally send them to a radiologist for interpretation. - Use portable sonographic equipment to perform and process ultrasounds. - Ensure all orders are checked for accuracy against patient charts before completing an exam. - Verify correct patient by asking for two patient identifiers. - Communicate efficiently with call centers, dispatch, peers, supervisory staff, and clients. - Adhere to professional and ethical conduct as per the company's Code of Conduct. - Maintain a high standard of medical ethics and professional manner. - Train other technologists as required and work independently with little to no direct supervision. - Must be self-motivated, dependable, and possess good organizational skills. - Operate a smartphone and perform basic computer skills, including printing and scanning documents. - Maintain autonomy while working with a variety of patients and always being on the move. - Enjoy a supportive work environment with opportunities for development and job security. - Must have medical physical examinations and TB screening at hire and annually, along with infection control training. - Ensure care for equipment and notify the supervisor immediately upon any malfunction.
