We’re seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Pediatric Nephrologist to join the growing Department of Pediatrics at Wake Forest University School of Medicine working at Brenner Children’s Hospital on the campus of Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The position offers an academic appointment at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Professor commensurate with background and credentials with Wake Forest University School of Medicine.

The Section offers a supportive and collaborative environment, which includes an ACGME-accredited, three-year pediatric nephrology fellowship program designed to prepare trainees for an academic career in pediatric nephrology. In addition to fellows, the section provides cutting-edge, innovative medical education of house staff, medical students, pharmacy residents, and PA students.
This comprehensive nephrology program offers exceptional clinical care covering every aspect of the field, including AKI, CKD, glomerulonephritis, nephrotic syndrome, fluid and electrolyte disorders, a dedicated Hypertension and Neonatal Kidney Clinic, TS Alliance-designated multi-disciplinary Tuberous Sclerosis Clinic, rare inherited forms of kidney disease, including a cystinosis clinic, nephrolithiasis, congenital anomalies of the kidneys and urinary tract, acute and chronic hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis, including a home hemodialysis program, CKRT, apheresis transplantation, prenatal consultation, and kidney biopsies.
All domains of research and scholarly activities, including clinical, translational, preclinical research, quality improvement, advocacy, community engagement, and medical education are welcomed. Additionally, you will have opportunities for collaborative research with the world-renowned Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine, Hypertension and Vascular Research Center, Cardiovascular Sciences Center, Center for Artificial Intelligence Research, Center for Healthcare Innovation, Comprehensive Cancer Center, Center for Vaccines at the Extremes of Aging, Center on Diabetes, Obesity and Metabolism, and Center for Precision Medicine.
