The typical seasonal entry-on-duty period is May - Nov., but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. Anticipated Entry on Duty: May 4, 2025.
Salary for Each Location:
- Gaffney, SC (Cowpens National Battlefield) $22.69 to $26.47.
- Ninety Six, SC (Ninety Six National Historic Site) $22.69 to $26.47.
- York County, SC (Kings Mountain National Military Park) $23.86 to 27.83.
Major Duties:
The incumbent of this position performs as a Maintenance Worker at Cowpens National Battlefield in Gaffney, SC, Kings Mountain National Military Park in Blacksburg, SC, or Ninety Six National Historic Site in Ninety Six, SC. The incumbent must be self-directed and able to perform duties with minimum supervision. Work includes tasks associated with trades such as:

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors:
- Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision (SCREEN OUT)
- Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, Repair, etc.
- Technical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic)
- Use of Measuring Instruments
- Ability To Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (includes blueprint reading)
- Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment
- Knowledge of Materials
