Job Title: Insurance Risk Manager
Location: Los Angeles, CA

Job Summary: The Insurance Risk Manager will be responsible for evaluating and mitigating risks associated with our multi-family residential properties. This role involves working closely with our legal team, insurance providers to lower premiums, advising leadership on risk management strategies, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Insurance Underwriters are strongly encouraged to apply!
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for all properties.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to reduce exposure and insurance premiums.
- Collaborate with insurance providers to negotiate favorable terms and premiums. Critically at time of renewal.
- Advise senior leadership on risk management best practices and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor and analyze risk trends and provide regular reports to management.
- Ensure all properties comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Coordinate with property managers to implement safety and risk management protocols.
- Conduct training sessions for staff on risk management and safety procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in risk management, insurance underwriting, preferably in the real estate or property management industry.
- Strong knowledge of insurance policies, risk assessment techniques, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional certifications such as ARM (Associate in Risk Management) or CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter) are a plus.
