Urgent Team is seeking dedicated and skilled Medical Assistants to become part of our dynamic healthcare team. We currently have PRN (as-needed) opportunities available!

Urgent Team is a leading independent operator of urgent and family care centers in the Southeast, providing quality and affordable healthcare at over 80 locations under multiple brands.
Our walk-in centers offer a range of services, including treatment for injuries, illnesses, occupational health, and wellness care. We are open seven days a week with convenient hours to meet our patients' needs. All Urgent Team centers are Accredited Care Centers, which showcases our commitment to safety and quality in healthcare delivery.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Medical Assistant will provide essential clinical care to patients, leveraging their medical training. While our full-time team members have a rotating 36-40 hour work schedule with 12-hour shifts, our PRN team members will be scheduled as needed.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following duties represent the general expectations of this role; however, additional tasks may be assigned:
Warmly greet patients upon arrival.
Effectively communicate wait times and guide patients through the treatment process.
Address patient concerns and escalate urgent situations appropriately.
Make follow-up calls with urgency and empathy.
Assist front desk staff with check-in and check-out processes as required.
Accurately record patient vital signs and medical histories.
Support patient transfers and assist with procedures under provider supervision.
Follow established documentation protocols for patient visits.
WHAT'S REQUIRED?
To be considered for this position, candidates must have:
A high school diploma or equivalent.
A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant (preferred).
A Medical Assistant Certificate or equivalent experience.
BLS Certification (required).
