Department/Unit: Post Anesthesia Care Work Shift: Evening Salary Range: $76,396.32 - $126,730.61 Join our dedicated team as an Experienced Clinical Nurse in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)! Hourly Range: $38.57 - $63.98 Key Responsibilities: Execute physician orders, administer medications, initiate IVs, perform treatments, procedures, and special tests while accurately documenting all care in accordance with company policies and regulatory standards. Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to effectively assess patients' conditions. Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine patient needs and responses to care provided. Utilize sound nursing judgment for critical decision-making in patient management. Deliver primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses. Administer prescribed and over-the-counter medications as indicated. Collaborate strategically with the nursing team to establish an individualized Plan of Care for each patient. Provide direction and mentorship to ancillary personnel while upholding nursing standards. Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from a recognized professional nursing program resulting in a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Bachelor's Degree. Valid New York State Registered Nurse license is required. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained and maintained. A minimum of 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care is required. Exceptional communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills are essential. Understanding of quality principles, concepts, and problem-solving techniques, with a demonstrated ability to apply them to enhance departmental and patient care quality.
