Job Type: Full-time // 40 hours per week // Monday - Friday
*IR Centers at Kansas City Urology Care* is a multidisciplinary private practice endovascular lab opening *May 2025 in Merriam, KS*. We are leading minimally invasive procedures across the U.S. by providing interventional radiology services in an outpatient setting.
As a *Medical Assistant*, you will be responsible for providing support to ensure efficient operation of our outpatient center. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality, and in a timely manner.
Responsibilities: * Interview patients and document basic medical history * Take vitals pre/post-op and document findings in their patient chart * Organize, authorize, and schedule appointments for referrals * Send prescriptions electronically, by fax, or by verbally calling them in * Assist during medical examinations * Place IVs prior to procedure * Triage patient calls, assess the problem, consult with the physician * Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms * Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments
Skills: * Proven working experience as a medical assistant * Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Strong organizational and planning skills * Proficiency in MS Office and EMR systems (_Urochart and NextGen preferred_)
Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent (Required) * BLS Certification (Or Willingness to obtain) * English (Required) * Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)
