Brief Description
Middleburg Communities is seeking a receptionist to join our Vienna, Virginia office. The Receptionist will be responsible for answering incoming calls, directing calls to appropriate team members, mail distribution, as well as general office support with a variety of clerical activities. Brief Description
Middleburg Communities is seeking a receptionist to join our Vienna, Virginia office. The Receptionist will be responsible for answering incoming calls, directing calls to appropriate team members, mail distribution, as well as general office support with a variety of clerical activities. The ideal candidate will be professional, upbeat, energetic, takes initiative, takes pride in work, can work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments and is able to participate in our Mission, lives by our Values, and promotes the Vision of Excellence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Respond to the phone in a polite and professional manner, provide callers with the necessary information, welcome individuals entering the office, and direct them to the correct location
- Prepare outgoing documents for shipping, receive, organize, and deliver mail
- Provides day-to-day administrative support and miscellaneous duties as required (binding, copying, scanning, etc.).
- Assist in maintaining a clean, well-stocked, and organized lobby area, conference rooms, and all other common areas
- Order and manage the delivery of meals for meetings, employee engagement events, and assist with the setup and cleanup of the events, as necessary.
- The ability to schedule outside vendors as needed by the organization.
- Depending on business needs, additional duties may be assigned
- Ability to perform duties during regular office hours, in-person, Monday- Friday
Desired Skills and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 1 year customer service experience
- Excellent phone etiquette, and verbal communication skills
- Punctual and dependable
- Possession of strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments
- Professional, upbeat, energetic, takes initiative, takes pride in work
- Should be customer service driven
- Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
This position primarily performs sedentary office work. Requires the use of computers and telephones. Requires some kneeling and bending for access to files. Occasionally requires lifting 20 pounds or less.
