Position Overview
The Receptionist receives and assists patients and visitors, answers telephone calls, and organizes appointments. He/She helps to facilitate patient care by carrying out the Receptionist responsibilities in a professional, efficient, and accurate manner.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Experience working in a clerical or secretarial role in a healthcare-related setting preferred.
- Must have de-escalation training completed within 90 days of orientation.
- Proficient in computer use, MS Outlook, Word, and other office technology.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, and maintain professionalism.
Physical and Mental Demands
Work involves sitting, moving about the facility, physical motions, exposure to body fluids, and the use of office equipment. Mental demands include assessment, decision-making, communication, emotional stability, and attention to detail.
