Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer II
Location: Orange, CT 06477
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Process & Equipment Development:
- Design, develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes and equipment for new and existing product lines.
- Ensure production systems support operational goals and enable seamless scheduling and throughput.
- Production Floor Support:
- Provide ongoing technical support to the production team, troubleshooting equipment and process issues as they arise.
- Apply engineering principles to improve product quality, enhance performance, and reduce manufacturing costs.
- Project Management:
- Lead and manage engineering projects independently, including timelines, documentation, and cross-functional coordination.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives rooted in Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Compliance & Best Practices:
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Promote a culture of safety and proactive risk management across all engineering activities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with production, maintenance, quality, and supply chain teams to align engineering support with business priorities.
- Document and communicate project progress clearly across departments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline (required).
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably in an industrial or metals environment.
- Strong understanding of materials, processes, and manufacturing methods.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting production equipment and implementing technical solutions.
- Practical knowledge of Welding Engineering is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement tools.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with ERP systems in a production setting is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
