Position Title: Business Analyst/Product Owner Location: Purcellville, VA (LOCALS ONLY) Duration: 6 Months Only GC and US Citizens Position Summary: The Business Analyst/Product Owner serves as the primary expert on core software products used to solve complex business problems. The role involves working closely with business users to gather requirements and ensure the software aligns with business needs. The analyst coordinates operations to communicate plans and changes effectively. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Serve as the Product Owner in the Scrum development process. Understand project scope, business goals, product functionality, and desired features. Gather, analyze, and document business requirements with end users and management. Translate high-level requirements into detailed user stories and process flows. Communicate with developers to clarify requirements and evaluate solutions. Identify and resolve issues, questions, and gaps efficiently. Participate in change request processes and escalate when necessary. Prioritize development features and prepare the backlog for sprint planning. Test new functionalities to ensure they meet business needs before release. Assist in the development and execution of testing activities. Experience: Preferred: 2+ years as an IT Business Analyst, with at least 1 year working with Scrum teams and experience using Jira. Minimum: 1 year as an IT Business Analyst with experience in Agile development processes.
