Report to: Director of Athletics, Facilities, and School Safety
Hours: Determined by program needs and Director
Qualifications:
- Must have documented evidence of organizational skills, knowledge, experience, preparation and aptitudes in the above sport commensurate with the level of the position.
- Must have demonstrated ability to work with and motivate young people and adults.
- Must be available during the time requirements of the position.
- Certification in CPR and first aid required
- Directly responsible for all matters relative to program including but not limited to, player personnel, practice sessions, care and maintenance of equipment and supervision of players during practice, games, travel and other team functions.
- Be knowledgeable of and consistently enforce school, District, League and state association (MHSAA) rules and policies.
- Effectively communicate with players, officials, fellow coaches, parents, administrators and community members.
- Ensure that the safety and welfare of the athletes is a top priority in the organization and is implemented in practice and game situations.
- Be responsive to instructions and directions of the Dean of Students and other appropriate school administrators.
- Present a professional image and provide a positive role model in terms of personal habits, language and conduct.
- Review and submit yearly budget for program.
- Communicate with Director of Athletics, Parents, and Student-Athletes regularly.
- Schedule and conduct regular practices.
- Review schedules for competitions and practices, submit season calendar to Athletic Director.
- Inventory, distribute, and collect uniforms and equipment.
- Attend preseason coaches meeting or make alternative arrangements with Director of Athletics.
- Maintain up-to-date rosters and communicate changes with Director of Athletics.
- Review student registration paperwork, ensuring all participants have required paperwork on file.
- Supervise all team activities (workouts, practices, events, meetings, etc..).
- Coordinate volunteers for home events, as appropriate.
- Practice and competition schedules are to be submitted and reviewed by the Director of Athletics prior to the season. Coaches are expected to conduct regular practices and schedule events to maximize student-athlete opportunities.

- Coordinate application process, club marketing and student recruitment.
- If applicable, collect and deposit funds in conjunction with board policy
