Product Safety Specialist
for a
12-month contract
with a client in
South Portland, ME 04106 (Onsite). Title: Product Safety Specialist Location: South Portland, ME 04106 (Onsite) Contract: 12 months Contract Pay Rate: $38-42/hr (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.) Shift: 8 am to 5 pm Job Description: Will be working on developing strategy/plan for creation of SDS's No lab work involved Computer-based primarily No work from home/remote Ideally 5 yrs exp or EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) exp Exp w/regulations & internal standards Someone technically experienced Scientist-technical understanding of chemistry and formulations This will be an independent role. Cross functional Good opportunity for visibility at Abbott - long term project management Drafting and writing up safety data sheets - working with change management What are the top 3 most important skills to have? Technical background Writing Skills Time Management Education:
BS in Bio or Chem. Biotech exp would be important more than just schooling - not ideal for someone fresh out of college/grad school.
