If you enjoy variety, we will put your time-management and organization skills to use handling field visits, office work, and projects for large commercial clients. We will provide you with extensive training to understand our business, build relationships with mentors, and learn FM's best-in-class industry standards. In this role, you will work independently with a lifeline of 200 years of support and experience.

Consultant Engineers are encouraged to follow FM Engineering Standards and communicate recommendations and/or engineering solutions to ensure client understanding. Strong communication, listening, and relationship-building skills are a must.
You should be willing to operate from a home office and will travel to clients' facilities daily; overnight travel is expected approximately 30% of the time. You must also be willing to travel to Natural Catastrophe sites as needed.
Based on a candidate's previous experience, this role can be for either a Consultant Engineer I or Consultant Engineer II. Successful candidates will have:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or fire protection
2-5 years of semi-conductor experience (preferred)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Good analytical, organizational, problem-solving skills
Efficient time management and ability to work independently
Proven technical capability including diverse knowledge of engineering principles
Valid driver's license
Physical ability to climb commercial ladders, lift >25 lbs., and work in confined spaces if required by clients
Proficiency in MS Office products
You will be expected to work independently and should be willing to operate from your home office and travel to client sites regularly.
The position is eligible for FM's comprehensive Total Rewards program, including incentives, health and well-being programs, a 401(k) and pension plan, career development, tuition reimbursement, flexible work, and time-off allowances.
