Resort Manager
Four Seasons Resort and Residences Jackson Hole is looking for a Resort Manager who shares a passion for excellence and who infuse enthusiasm into everything they do. The Resort Manager forms part of the Resort Leadership team who collectively make key strategic and operational decisions for the Resort.
Leadership Requirements
- Ideal candidate should have prior operational background experience. Preferred experience to be in Food and Beverage. Residential experience would be a plus/advantage.
- Ability to take ownership of the guest experience, including glitch and post departure follow up.
- Resort is well immersed within the community; passion for connecting and networking with others in the community.
- Important to participate/enjoy local activities as guests and employees are very passionate about enjoying all the destination has to offer.
- Establish a relationship with multi return ELITE guests, VIPs and Residential owners.
- Hands on, very visible throughout the resort with the ability to pull resources together.
- Ability to run the resort operations at the highest level with limited resources and staffing - understanding job combination.
- Strong leadership needed within a seasonal resort setting. Skilled in communication and planning.
- Transparent communicator with high emotional intelligence (EQ).
- Ability to listen, be empathetic and keep team members engaged. Resort Manager must be comfortable with floor presence and frequent daily departmental walks.
- Coach and mentor for less-experienced leaders.
- Inspirational, inclusive leadership with a focus on Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging.
- Developing a balance of being hands on but also fostering high trust and empowerment. Active presence needed in all resort areas.
- Will be participating in monthly Direct Line in the following areas; Line staff (GM), Department Head (DPAC & RM), Assistant Manager (GM/RM)
- Relentless about staying on top of product - cleanliness and maintenance on both FOH/BOH. A continued focus on refining and elevating our offerings is a high priority.
- A driver of service standards and structure. Our F&B operational areas require systems and structure.
- Emphasis on elevating food and beverage operations.
- Consistent delivery of the brand promise. A foundation of standards accountability.
- Must be passionate about driving product innovation and service delivery - keeping an eye on Qualtrics and Forbes.
- Connected to guests and highly visible for VIPs and Elite Guests.
- Ability to recognize/understand the impact on EBITA with decision making.
- Strong business acumen overall and across all functions. Essential for developing trust and support from ownership.
- Strong ability to manage labor, participate and engage in labor meetings and adjust standards as needed.
- Involvement in forecast and strategy meetings.
- Involved in budget process, needs strong ability to partner with Regional Director of Finance on forecast and affect monthly P&L in the month for the month.
- Knowledgeable about standard profit margins and makes financial decisions which maintain those margins.
- Applicants are highly recommended to have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Resort Management.
- A Hospitality Management Degree qualification is preferred, however, not essential with relevant experience.
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule in order to accomplish all major responsibilities, and be willing to accept assignments on a as needed basis, in order to promote teamwork. This may include evenings, weekends and holidays.
- US work authorization is required unless candidate is currently in a managerial position at a Four Seasons location. Current Four Seasons managers may qualify for L-1 visa sponsorship.
