Job Title: Academic Hospitalist

Location: Desert Valley Medical Center – Victorville, CA

Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Overview:

Desert Valley Medical Center, a leading community hospital in the High Desert region, is seeking a full-time Academic Hospitalist to join our dynamic inpatient medical team. This is a unique opportunity to combine clinical practice with medical education in a supportive and growing academic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Will be employed by Desert Valley Medical Group, a multi-specialty group affiliated with Desert Valley Hospital.
• Day Shift Hospitalist with Academic opportunity.
• Board-Certified in Internal Medicine (required)
• Will work with Internal Medicine residents – Responsible for rounding with residents and serving as core faculty for Internal Medicine Residency Program.
• Preferably okay doing procedures but not required.
• Open ICU.
• Traditional Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (8AM to 5PM) + 1 weekend a month.
• The position is in Victorville, CA – around 45 minutes away from Ontario and Rancho Cucamonga, CA.
• Base salary starts at $250-275K.
• Semi-annual production bonus in addition to base salary.
• Sign-On Bonus and Relocation Reimbursement for Full-Time.
• Open to J-1 Visa waiver sponsorship (Primary Care shifts required)

Qualifications:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.

• Board Certified in Internal Medicine.

• Eligible for licensure in California.

• Passion for medical education and mentoring future physicians.

• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in academic or teaching hospitalist roles.

• Interest in research, quality improvement, or medical education leadership.
