Ohio Valley Waste Service offers employees the following types of benefits:

1. Full-time employment plus potential overtime. Employees are paid at an hourly rate plus time and one-half for overtime hours worked.
2. Work weeks can vary from 5-8 hour days to 4-10 hour days for the employee’s regular schedule.

Seneca Landfill, Inc. is seeking a heavy equipment operator.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Operate, in a safe, compliant manner, dozers, graders, excavators, front end loaders, and other equipment as required.
2. Spread and compact residential, commercial, and construction and demolition waste disposed of at the landfill facility.
3. Spread, compact, and cover refuse with cover material each day.
4. Grade and maintain topography.
5. Report equipment failures, malfunctions, and maintenance needs.
6. Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. A minimum of 3 years experience operating heavy equipment.
2. High school diploma or GED.
3. Must possess a valid driver's license.
4. Employees must provide their own safety-approved work boots.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. This position is performed outdoors in varying weather conditions.
2. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
3. Ability to frequently work near moving mechanical parts.
4. Ability to sit/stand, walk, climb, bend/twist, crouch/crawl, and push/pull required.
5. Ability to lift/carry upwards of 50-100 lbs. for short distances.
