As a Senior Paralegal, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting legal research and gathering relevant information to assist attorneys in their case preparation.
- Assisting with the drafting of legal documents, contracts, and agreements.
- Managing and organizing case files and maintaining case calendars.
- Docketing: You will be responsible for scheduling and coordinating court dates, deadlines, and appointments.
- Cite Checking: You will be expected to verify the legal citation and formatting in our legal documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with court rules.
- Assisting in the preparation of legal arguments, applications, declarations, and motions.
- Coordinating with clients and other law firms on case-related matters.
- Utilizing legal software and technology to streamline tasks and improve efficiency.
- Assisting with trial preparation, including preparing trial exhibits and witness testimonies.
- Maintaining confidentiality and professional discretion at all times.
The ideal candidate for the Senior Paralegal position should possess the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department.
- A bachelor's degree in Law, Paralegal Studies, or a related field is required. A paralegal certification is highly desirable.
- Proven experience with docketing and cite checking.
- Proficiency in using legal research software and tools.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Knowledge of legal terminology and principles.
- The ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
