Responsibilities:

As a Senior Paralegal, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Conducting legal research and gathering relevant information to assist attorneys in their case preparation.
  2. Assisting with the drafting of legal documents, contracts, and agreements.
  3. Managing and organizing case files and maintaining case calendars.
  4. Docketing: You will be responsible for scheduling and coordinating court dates, deadlines, and appointments.
  5. Cite Checking: You will be expected to verify the legal citation and formatting in our legal documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with court rules.
  6. Assisting in the preparation of legal arguments, applications, declarations, and motions.
  7. Coordinating with clients and other law firms on case-related matters.
  8. Utilizing legal software and technology to streamline tasks and improve efficiency.
  9. Assisting with trial preparation, including preparing trial exhibits and witness testimonies.
  10. Maintaining confidentiality and professional discretion at all times.
Job Details

The ideal candidate for the Senior Paralegal position should possess the following qualifications:

  1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department.
  2. A bachelor's degree in Law, Paralegal Studies, or a related field is required. A paralegal certification is highly desirable.
  3. Proven experience with docketing and cite checking.
  4. Proficiency in using legal research software and tools.
  5. Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  7. Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  8. Knowledge of legal terminology and principles.
  9. The ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
  10. High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  11. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
