Job DetailsResponsibilities:
- Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in civil litigation.
- Prepare and draft legal documents, such as wills, trusts, and contracts.
- Provide expert legal advice to clients on estate planning matters, ensuring their assets are effectively and efficiently managed during their lifetime and beyond.
- Handle business litigation matters, advising clients on their rights, responsibilities, and legal obligations.
- Conduct research and analysis of legal problems, interpreting laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
- Present and summarize cases to judges and juries.
- Communicate with clients, colleagues, judges, and others involved in the case, maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Negotiate settlements in civil disputes, aiming to resolve cases as efficiently as possible.
- Maintain current knowledge of changes and developments in the law, staying abreast of current trends in all areas of law relevant to the practice.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the state bar.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as an attorney, with a focus on civil litigation, estate planning, or business/ corporate law.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present complex legal arguments clearly and persuasively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound judgments.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- High levels of integrity and professional ethics.
- The ability to work independently, manage multiple cases simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
- A proven track record of success in litigation and a passion for achieving positive outcomes for clients.
