We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to support our client, a local government organization in Miami, FL. The Business Analyst will assist in implementing a complex, large-scale application by working alongside a diverse team of analysts supporting various County Departments, specializing in traffic and parking systems. The position is mostly remote, requiring occasional visits onsite. The candidate must be a resident, and located in South Florida.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:Requirement Gathering and Solution Design:Work closely with development teams to translate business requirements into User Stories, technical specifications, and system design.Conduct interviews, workshops, and meetings to elicit comprehensive and accurate requirements.Business Process Analysis:

Analyze and understand the existing business processes within the organization.Identify areas for improvement and recommend process changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.Business Insights:

Translate complex data findings into actionable business insights.Provide recommendations based on data analysis to support strategic software integration and architectural design.System Implementation and Testing:

Conduct system testing, including functional integration and assisting with user acceptance testing to ensure quality and reliability of the implemented systems.Testing Support:

Assist with testing activities, including test planning, test case creation, and test execution.Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure that solutions meet specified requirements and quality standards.Project Management:

Manage project tasks related to business analysis activities using Waterfall and Agile methodologies.Track progress and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery.Vendor Management:

Manage relationships with software vendors, coordinate vendor demonstrations, and oversee the implementation of vendor solutions.Change Management:

Assist in change management activities related to system implementations, including conducting impact assessments, developing training materials, and providing support to end-users during the transition period.Stakeholder Communication:

Facilitate effective communication between business stakeholders, technical teams, and project managers.Provide regular project updates, status reports, and conduct presentations to keep stakeholders informed about project progress and milestones.Continuous Improvement:

Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of supported systems.Identify areas for improvement, conduct post-implementation reviews, and recommend enhancements to optimize system functionality and user experience.Risk Management:

Identify risks and issues related to business analysis activities and work proactively to mitigate them.Escalate critical issues as needed to ensure timely resolution.Compensation and Term

This opportunity is for a full-time, contract position with possible extensions and pay commensurate with experience up to

$80,000

per year. Medical, dental, vision and life insurance available after 30 days of hire.

Qualifications you

need

A successful

Business Analyst

has the following experience:

Bachelor's degree or master's degree in Business Administration, Communication, Information Systems, or related field.Minimum of five (5) years of experience in software implementation and business process analysis.Experience in working with complex IT software projects in large organizations using Waterfall and Agile methodologies.Proficient in gathering business requirements and documenting business processes.Experienced in business analysis in complex implementation and integrated software solutions.Proficient with data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI and Excel), data management, and infrastructure.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
