Virtus Healthcare Staffing seeks a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our partner Medical Center's Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Anchorage, AK. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced critical care nurse to provide expert care to patients with complex medical needs in a dynamic and rewarding environment.
Benefits:
Up to $15,000 hiring bonus and relocation assistance for eligible full-time external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.
Hours:
Full Time (36 hours a week)
Night Shift
Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients, utilizing advanced assessment and critical thinking skills.
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
Monitor and interpret complex physiological data, including vital signs, hemodynamic monitoring, and ventilator settings.
Administer medications and treatments with precision and vigilance, including vasoactive drips and critical care medications.
Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families, fostering a compassionate and healing environment.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient care documentation, adhering to established protocols and standards.
Required Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
Upon hire: Alaska Registered Nurse License
Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification
Upon hire: National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association certification
1 year of Nursing experience, preferably in critical care or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification
Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
