Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg ICU

Trusted Staffe is partnering with a leading Level III trauma center in Eureka, CA, to find an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse for their Med/Surg ICU. This fast-paced unit provides comprehensive care to a diverse patient population with a range of medical and surgical needs, with a focus on intensive care.

Responsibilities:

Deliver expert nursing care to critically ill patients in the Med/Surg ICU, utilizing your advanced assessment and clinical skills.

Perform thorough assessments, develop individualized care plans, and implement evidence-based nursing interventions.

Administer medications and treatments, closely monitor patient response, and document accurately.

Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, specialists, and therapists, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Educate patients and families on their conditions, treatment plans, and recovery process.

Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and their families.

Required Qualifications:

Graduation from an accredited nursing program.

California Registered Nurse License upon hire.

National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification upon hire.

National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association certification upon hire.

National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale Certificate (NIHSS) within 90 days of hire.

1 year of nursing experience, preferably in a critical care or Med/Surg setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse) certification.

Experience with a variety of medical and surgical conditions.

Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
