Special Note: The entry salary in Anchorage is $4,514.25/Biweekly. As the Director of the Division of Health Care Services, you will lead a team of nearly 130 employees responsible for the statewide administration of Medicaid programs. You will oversee critical systems that serve the Division’s programs and processes, including claims adjudication and payment, provider and member enrollment, coordination with Tribal Medicaid systems, and representation of Medicaid leadership to external stakeholders.You will be the face of the Division, working closely with the Alaska State Legislature, executive offices, tribal health organizations, the federal delegation, and other partners to ensure effective communication and service. With oversight of ten distinct sections—including Medicaid recoveries, system operations, quality assurance, and licensing—you will ensure efficient, compliant, high-quality operations serving more than one-third of Alaska’s residents.Additionally, you will play a key role in developing and implementing initiatives to improve the health of Medicaid recipients while managing costs effectively. This requires a collaborative approach, working with Department staff, healthcare providers, and community stakeholders to drive innovation and improvement in Alaska’s Medicaid program.Why Join Us:
