The prime candidate will work seamlessly with partners as well as administrative staff in an effort to effectively serve clients. Advise clients by weighing available options toward a successful outcome and plan a course of actionIdentify client conflicts and determine case strategies with options for resolutionPerform research, draft briefs, pleadings, and motionsArgue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedingsSupervise administrative staff, paralegals, and law clerksManage a caseload of first-party property insurance claims from inception through resolution, including conducting detailed case assessments and developing effective litigation strategiesProvide radical customer service experience to clients by providing case updates, gathering necessary information, and offering legal advicePrepare and present case evaluations and legal recommendationsPerform comprehensive legal research to support case preparation and strategy. Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documentsRepresent clients in court appearances, including hearings, trials, and mediations. Argue motions and present evidence before judges and juriesEngage in settlement negotiations with opposing counsel, insurance companies, and other relevant parties. Develop negotiation strategies to achieve favorable outcomes for clientsQualifications
Licensed to practice law in California is REQUIREDPublic speaking, decision-making, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are necessary for this roleAdvanced computer skills working with legal research programs (Westlaw and Lexis) required4 years of recent experience in First-Party Property Insurance in California required.Able to work independently while handling multiple filesProficiency with Microsoft Office/Google Suite is requiredCompensation
