Opportunity to provide all encompassing family medicine to a diverse population in a rural communityTwo established and busy UnityPoint Clinic Family Medicine practices in Storm Lake: Buena Vista Clinic & Family Health CenterCohesive group of Family Medicine, Family Medicine with OB, and Internal Medicine Physicians and Advanced PractitionersExperienced staff, both clinical and non-clinical who know the patients extremely wellArray of services and visiting specialists to serve patients in the communityFull-time position, including dedicated administrative time, with flexible scheduling to ensure sufficient patient accessFully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on Epic EMR to improve care coordinationResponsibilities
Average of 20-25 patients per dayShared call amongst the providersMix of outpatient and inpatient medicineOptional: Family Medicine with OB or Family Medicine onlyGeneral family medicine procedures such as joint injections, skin excisions, lacerations, casting, etc.Evaluates, interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient carePatient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environmentExcellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serveQualifications
MD or DOBoard Certified or Board Eligible in Family MedicineAbility to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the stateHold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician’s field of practiceEligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt)J-1 waiver sponsorship availableBLS, ACLS, NRP (if providing OB services)We Offer
