This position reports directly to the Senior Managing Director of Capital Markets. The primary dedication will be assisting with sourcing and structuring JV equity for Mill Creek’s single-family rental platform (“Amavi” brand). This role requires a candidate to be detail-oriented and passionate about working collaboratively to grow Mill Creek Residential’s equity business. The Capital Markets Assistant Vice President will have the opportunity to be involved in every stage of the equity process, including: research, marketing, assistance with the standardization and creation of offering memorandums, deal term and waterfall analysis, term sheet negotiation, closings, partner meetings, and events.Essential Functions/Responsibilities

Assist Senior Managing Director in the pursuit of new JV equity relationships for third-party joint ventures across Mill Creek’s single-family rental platform. This includes developing and maintaining relationships with providers of equity.Assist with the coordination of all single-family rental JV equity searches once it is determined that a pipeline deal is in the JV equity rotation. This will include developing a prospect list with the Capital Markets and Development Teams, reviewing offering memorandums, coordinating regular internal calls, and tracking investor interest.Work alongside the Senior Managing Director to drive term sheet negotiations with new potential single-family rental investors.Assist the Capital Markets/Finance Team in negotiations and coordination of the joint venture documents.Produce and present Investment Committee write-ups in regards to both strategy on single-family rental equity raises and detailed summaries of final negotiated term sheets for committee approval.Assist Senior Managing Director with the equity search process involving any outside brokers. This will include selecting the broker, negotiating the engagement letter, and facilitating communication with the broker, development team, and capital markets team.Assist in strategy for each single-family opportunity marketed to third-party investors, including sales pitch, risks and mitigants, and positioning.Assisting in preparation, scheduling, and attending meetings/conferences including preparation of single-family rental materials.Work collaboratively with the Capital Markets team analysts who will assist on both the single-family rental and multifamily platforms.The Assistant Vice President will collaborate with the broader Capital Markets Team on cross strategy/information sharing as it relates to equity raising for the Mill Creek single-family product (“Amavi” brand) and multifamily product (“Modera” and “Beckett” brands).Aggregating broader market feedback on single-family rental investors and market sentiment.Update and maintain the CRM database of active, inactive, and prospective investors.Develop and maintain a summary matrix of major joint venture terms for all investors.Develop and maintain waterfall analysis for specific deals based on multiple investor structures.Organize regular update calls with all major investors and the Capital Markets Team.Produce and distribute regular updates to Investors in coordination with the Capital Markets Team.Continue to develop and produce more professional/consistent/timely offering memorandums.Some travel may be required.Education and/or Experience

Undergraduate degree required;Minimum 5 years of direct experience in real estate (Multi-family / Single Family Rental experience preferred.
